Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning results. That is the secret to a great achievement. Once again, LSPR Public Speaking Club, one of LSPR’s clubs that focuses on the art of public speaking and debate, has achieved another victory in an English speech competition in the TBI English Challenge 2017 which was held by The British Institute on 19 February 2017 at Lotte Shopping Avenue.
The delegates of LSPR Public Speaking Club, Shania Safira Haroen (PR 18-2C), Faradyzka Aurora Kencana (PAC 19-1B), Sophia Seddarassan (MC Excl 18) were met with 13 contestants from various high schools and universities. There were various speech topics to choose from; Shania made a speech about the differences in male and female communication while Faradyzka focused on whether teachers and students should be friends on social networks, and Sophia performed a speech about bullying at school, social media, and more. All delegates performed superbly, with Shania achieving 1st place winner and Faradyzka achieving 2nd place winner.
Public speaking remains as one of the highest fears of people of all ages. However, Shania and Faradyzka managed to show everyone that with constant practice and motivation, hard work is always paid off. Congratulations to LSPR Public Speaking Club as well as Shania Safira Haroen, Faradyzka Aurora Kencana and Sophia Seddarassan for your amazing effort to make LSPR proud.
