At the beginning of 2015, The Department of Performing Arts Communication LSPR- Jakarta presented The 14th LSPR THEATRE FESTIVAL. Since June 2014 LSPR Theatre Festival has produced 149 theatre productions. The 14th LSPR THEATRE FESTIVAL showcases 12 theatre productions by 12 classes from batch 18-first year students as their academic requirement for their Introduction to Performing Arts Communication subject.
This theater performances took place from 18.30- 19:30 from January 25th 2015- February 5th 2015. For this semester, there were 5 lecturers; Ms. Renata Kurniawan, M.Si, Mikhael Yulius Cobis, M.Si, Patricia Vicky Sihombing, S.Si, Mr. Harris Priadie Bah, and Mr. Khiva Rayanka Iskak, S.Si and supported by their assistant Lecturers namely; Maulia Rori Rarasati, S.I.Kom, Indra Juanno, S.I.Kom, Karina Indah Septiani, S.I.Kom, and Fahad, S.I.Kom.
Beauty, Brains, and Personality Class: 18-7A
This theater presented a story about three girls who have a different characters and live their lives in accordance with their own characters. At the end of the story they found the meaning of friendship beyond beauty, intelligence, and personality.
Rashomon Class: 18-21A
The story began at the entrance gate of Rashomon city, there is a priest sitting from the rain with a woodcutter. The Woodcutter told to the priest that he saw an unbelievable crime. The woodcutter witnessed the murder of Takehiro, a husband of a woman named Masako.
Nobody Famous Class: 18-24A
Brenda being predicted by an old fortuneteller named madam Mooch, the fact that Brenda she was nobody famous in her past kind of shocked her. But literally, everyone has a chance to be famous once in their lifetime, but unfortunately, she seemed to lose her big chance to be a bigger artist.
The Detention Class: 18-22A
The Detention tells about seven students who were stuck in the school hall after the fire that happened at school chemistry lab. In the period of detention at school, 7 students have accused each other on the cause of the fire in the chemistry lab. During detention, each student was questioned by the principal to the investigation of this incident. However, the detention is in vain because of the fire incident is not the fault of the students but from the electricity problem.
Happiness Hunting Class: 18-23A
Happiness hunting is a short story tells about how human chasing his own happiness in this world. The story is played by three characters, which are Happiness, The Man and The Woman. The story is filled with moral value about how human should be grateful and appreciate what they have.
The Never Ever Café Class: 18-9A
Two people meeting in a rundown café, but this is not just an ordinary meeting; it is a conflict of two classes coming together, trying to make peace. Emelda is the struggling songwriter and Joshua is the Director of finance company. Somehow the magic and mystery of the café, keeps pulling Joshua back to where Emelda is working as a singer. The play is a highly entertaining one containing both physical theatre and three uncomplicated songs.
A Christmas Carol Class: 18-12A
A Christmas Carol is a heartwarming adaption of the classic Dickens story filled with cherished Christmas Carol. It’s a story about the talented but arrogant Eden Starling, a glamorous opera diva who has always hated Christmas since she was a little girl. Christmas is coming and Eden has a show coming up. But instead of letting her friends/ co-workers have their Christmas vacations, she forces them to continue working for the upcoming show.
