Magnificent Cambodia, a talkshow event that organized by PR 16-1C on Tuesday, 9 June 2015 at Auditorium Prof Dr Djajusman and Performance Hall. This event discussed how to travel to Cambodia in an affordable way with Pandu Waskitha Adi Raharja, Okvina Nur Alvita, dan Claudia Kaunang as a guest speaker.
Started at 14:30, the show opened with the national anthem of Cambodia and Indonesia and the performance of LSPR Choir sang the Asean Anthem and When You Believe. Opened by Agree Cory and Ervin Julio as MC, the event continued with opening speech from Debora Chezia as the Project Manager and the performance one of the PR 16-1C students, Vitara, shows a dazzling dances that represent the founding story of Angkor Wat and also shows Magnificent Cambodia pre-event video.
“When you plan to travel to another country, don’t think, just go. Because if you thinking too much, it will not happen.” said Pandu Waskitha. Pandu is a young backpacker who has gone to many countries for traveling, one of which is Cambodia. Pandu said that Cambodia is a beautiful city, which have many magnificent temples, a wide range of local foods, and a lot of beautiful places. Cambodia is a country that is worth to visit because of the beauty of the city and its attractions.
Okvina, a traveler also describes her experience during a trip to one of the famous temples in Cambodia, Angkor Wat. According to her, Angkor Wat is one of the historical heritage that still stands. She said that Borobudur and Prambanan temple in Indonesia is more beautiful. “When we had the intention of traveling to somewhere, don’t be too concerned about the budget. As long as we have intention, there will be a way”, she said.
Claudia Kaunang, a traveler and writer of traveling books add her personal experience to go to the capital of Cambodia, Phnompenh. According to her, Travelling is a means of channeling creations and inspirations. She also explained about the history and the culture of Cambodia. The event continued with a Question and Answer session, giving the plaque of appreciation from Mr Tunggul Siahaan as the Associate Dean of Campus C to the guest speakers, and the announcement of the winners of the photo booth competition.
