Humans naturally have an instinct for the necessities of life, such as the desire to eat and drink or instinct to socialize with others. And what about the instinct as a public relations? Are there people who are born with instincts as PR professionals? That was the theme of PR Corner last Monday, October 5, 2015 held at Prof. Dr. DjajusmanAuditorium & Performance Hall, Campus B LSPR.

Talkshow on air from LITE FM invited two speakers who are experienced in their fields, which were Prof. Dr. SylvianaHj Murni, SH, M.Si who is currently working as deputy governor from culture and tourism and Billy Boen as CEO of PT.Young On Top Nusantara. After celebrating the first anniversary last September, PR Corner reached its 50thepisode with Prita Kemal Gani as host and Arief Bakri as co-host.

According Sylviana, every human being has the instinct to express everything in their mind, but what was presented depends on the self-image that their build and let the public judge. The first woman that became the mayor of Central Jakarta also explained to be a good PR Professional you should have a sense of creativity, has also the ability to write and speak and must be willing to establish relationship with the media.

Doesn’t have formal education about public relations, but experienced as the youngest brand manager for a leading product makes Billy Boen learn a lot about PR. According to him, the instinct comes if it is honed, and in this era of globalization there are many ways to honed our passion, one of it is with managing social media to spread the positive things and use them according the function.
