PR Corner, a program aires every Monday night from 8-9pm by 105.8 LITE FM Radio went live on Monday, 10th October 2015. Held at Prof. Dr Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall LSPR – Jakarta, with the issue on how Public Relations is developed in the hospitality industry was brought to enlighten audience through its interactive and conversational sessions.
Hosted by the Founder & Director of LSPR, Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR, the sessions were adhered by the presence of some Public Relations Director in hospitality industry as speakers, such as Debby Setiawaty (Director Public Relations Gran Mahakam Hotel and Director of Himpunan Humas Hotel), Marlene Danusutedjo (Director of Communications Mandarin Oriental Hotel Jakarta), and Romy Herlambang (Director of Communications Hotel Mulia Senayan). These discussion sessions were also co-hosted by Mr. Ariel Brown, from LITE FM Jakarta.
The evening commenced with a book launching written by Nila Krisnawati & Reza Sunardi, “Kebangkitan Merek Lokal Industri Perhotelan di Indonesia”. Mr. Reza Sunardi is the President of Indonesian Hotel General Manager Association, and General Manager Padma Resort Ubud, Bali. A book that encourages youths and PR Enthusiasts to be aware on the importance of personal branding, as how implicated in big leading hotels of Indonesia.
The discussion session with the speakers begun, continued by talking sessions brought by the host and the co-host. “Dynamic”, was how Marlene Danusutedjo (Director of Communications Mandarin Oriental Hotel Jakarta) described the current situation of hospitality industry in Indonesia. To act as public relations in such a challenging industry had formed a certain sense of ambition in creating the industry to become even bigger and wider. To make Indonesia’s hospitality industry to be known by the world was believed to be the main objective. As hard as it is, Debby Setiawaty and Romy Herlambang had claimed that what they do in the industry had been about their passion after all this time. This then led to a question and answer sessions on broader aspects of Public Relations, about either inside or outside of the hospitality industry, as well as the strategies of maintaining work-life balance as a PR.
PR Corner Live had ended with a fashion show performance by May & June Batik Collection. Enlivened by PR Corner band. (Nadira / Emiliana)
