Tuesday, November 21, 2017 – Communication study Program Universities ‘ Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta organizes public lectures PR field with the theme of “Effective Communication In Facing The Millenials: Digital Public Relations Perspective “. Public lectures PR, which is moderated by Raditia Yudistira Sujanto, M.A., – Head of Study Programme Science Communication UNISA Yogyakarta and present speaker from the London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta, Rizka Septiana, S.Sos., M.Si., IAPR as Deputy Head of Media Relations, Corporate Reputation Department LSPR Jakarta and Executive Board of ASEAN Public Relations Network (APRN).
The event was opened with a welcome speech from Dr. Tri Hastuti Nur Rochimah, M.Si as Dean of FEISHum. He delivered, “Important aspects related to corporate communications are effective communication, public relations part of Prodi communication science should be able to manage the information properly. The current public relations challenge was faced with the development of rapid information technology especially the online world, so the limits of human interaction space seems to be a little while. Human interaction is managed through one hand, namely utilization gadget for social media.”
Rizka Septiana as keynote speaker at this event states, “Currently lots of students times now who has a social media account, even up to dozens of accounts with account numbers of millions of followers and formed a community called with buzzer. Many companies see this as an opportunity that could support their business. Then later on, many companies are utilizing the services of this promotional activity to buzzer/marketing and imaging activities to build positive reputation. “
The public lecture was attended by students from the communication of science courses from a variety of campus in Yogyakarta such as Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta (UMBY), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), dan Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). In addition, organizations of the profession of public relations Association of Young Perhumas Yogyakarta, and students program of management and public administration UNISA Yogyakarta also attended public lectures.
At the end of the event, all the participants totaling 140 students and professors gathered for chanting “today, Tomorrow, and forever … Indonesia Talk Good! “, as a form of support for the national campaign initiated by PERHUMAS Indonesia #IndonesiaBicaraBaik.
