The London School of Public Relations held a conference to discuss Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Tuesday 9 April 2019 at the LSPR Auditorium campus B from 9 am to 5 in partnership with De Montfort University (DMU) Leicester.

SDGs are 17 measurable goals that have been determined by the United Nations (UN) and include health, education, inequality, poverty, hunger, peace, the economy, renewable energy, production, and the environment which aim to benefit humanity on earth.

Mr. Rudi Sukandar talked about the Implementation of SDGs in Indonesia

The event began with a presentation from Mr. Rudi Sukandar Ph. D,  Head of LSPR PGP Thesis. about the Implementation of SDGs in Indonesia: Issues of Conflict Sensitive Policymaking and Development, which discussed the application of SDG in Indonesia. This was followed by a presentation from Mr. Paul Smith, Director of the British Council Indonesia.

The event was also attended by experts who were directly related to poverty and inequality, which included Ms. Vivi Yulaswati, Director of Poverty Reduction and Social welfare from the National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS). Mrs. Vivi presented the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda – the World without Poverty.

Also present were experts related to the environment, production and resources, and included Mr. Rizal Malik, CEO of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF Indonesia). WWF Indonesia is an independent conservation organization that conserves, restores and manages Indonesia’s ecosystems and biodiversity in an equitable manner, for the sustainability and welfare of all the Indonesian people. Mr. Rizal presented the Agenda 2030 and the Social Movement (with Sustainable Production and Consumption and the Earth Hour Campaign).
