In order to enliven the event “The 18th LSPR Theatre Festival”, I choose the “Red is Also The Royal Blood” by class 20-10 A in Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall was staged last Thursday, January 26, 2017. I choose the theater because I get feedback from a lot of people that the theater would be very good because of the characters that can play the role very well.
Theater “Red is Also the Royal Blood” is a theatrical genre of romance that took place in the mid 16th century in a large kingdom in southern Africa. This theater tells the story of forbidden love between a painter who came from among the common people and a daughter of a king.
The story begins when A king is very impressed with the results of the paintings of his daughter by an artist named Garcia (Wilsen). The king was so amazed that he promised to Garcia to give anything requested by Garcia. Great commotion occurred after this incident because what is asked by Garcia is to marry Princess Beatriz (Graecella Racheline) who is the daughter of the king himself. It is of course opposed by the majority of the empire where there is a rule in which ordinary people are not allowed to marry a person of royal blood.
Ne-Nsaku (Harway Geantoro), a commander-in-chief who has just been appointed by the king is the one most opposed to their relationship because he also has feelings for the princess, he did everything possible to thwart the marriage between them ranging from slander, inciting others to help his evil plans, until stabbed Garcia in stomach at the end of the story when all his plans have failed and the kingdom has agreed with Garcia and Princess Beatriz relationship. However, Garcia managed to bounce back and respond to stab Ne-Nsaku where it was he who finally died leaving Garcia and Princess Beatriz married and live happily ever after. (Leo/Arman)
