It’s been awhile since the first performance on The 19th LSPR Theatre Festival. For the 3rd performance on Monday, 24th July 2017, class 20-14A proudly presents theatre called “The Visit”, it was showed at Prof. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall London School of Public Relations Jakarta.
The story was about Philadelphian teens, Becca (15 years old) and her brother Tyler (13 years old) prepare for five day visit with their maternal grandparents while their divorced mother, Loretta Jamison, goes on a cruise with her new boyfriend. Loretta reveals that she hasn’t spoken to her parents since her marriage with her substitute high school teacher, Corin. And Loretta tells Becca about the disagreement she had with her parents that led to their estrangement, suggesting that Becca ask them for the details instead.
When Becca and Tyler meet their grandparents. They are instructed to never go into the basement because it contains toxic mold a t the isolated farmhouse. An hour past, Becca went downstairs for something to eat and sees her Nana projectile vomiting, and it frightening her. She tells her grandpa, who dismisses it as Nana having the stomach flu, and he reminds her to not leave her room after 9:30. Over the next few days, Becca and Tyler notice their grandparents more strange and frightening behavior. In the aftermath, Becca asks her mom about what happened after that day she left home. And Loretta states that she had a fight with her parents, in which she hit her mother and was then struck by her father. After that she left home and ignored them. (Desy)
