LSPR and Yayasan Kanker Payudara Indonesia (YKPI) held a Training for Volunteer Companion of Breast Cancer Patients on Friday until Sunday, 16 – 18 October 2015 at campus B LSPR Jakarta. LSPR who has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with YKPI last 11 March 2015, supports the campaigns of YKPI. In this campaign, training is held to educate the companions not only about breast cancer, but also to educate women on detecting risks of breast cancer since the early stage.
Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani gives opening remarks
On the first and second day, training was held for the companions of breast cancer patients, the series of training started from a general information about breast cancer, relationship building and communication skills as well as counseling techniques.
Mrs. Linda Agum Gumelar gives opening remarks
This event was opened by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR as the founder and director of LSPR Jakarta, Mrs. Linda Agum Gumelar as the chairperson of YKPI, Mr. Muhammad Acharul Asana as the director of PTV TUV Rheinland Indonesia along with Mrs. Veronika Tjajaha Purnama as the Chairwoman of Yayasan Kanker Indonesia.
Discussion during Training of Volunteer Companion of Breast Cancer Patients
This training ended with assessment as well as discussion with the companions, YKPI also brought the mammography bus for the training of the participants. The series of training was held for three days in hopes to educate the companions who will accompany the breast cancer patients.
