Jakarta – Indonesia Drama Educators Association (IDEAL) held the 3rd DALGONA (Dramakala Digital Workshop & Seminar) webinar series with the theme “Pertunjukan Digital di Ruang New Normal”. In this series of DALGONA webinar, Founder & Director of Teater Keliling, Mr. Rudolf Puspa and Chairman of Yayasan Teater Keliling, Mrs. Dolfry Inda Suri were invited to share their experiences in the performing arts industry. There was also a Q & A session which made the webinar more alive and interesting to the participants.
As an expert in theatre production for more than 40 years, Mr. Rudolf and Teater Keliling were developing the community to enhance the role of arts in Indonesia. This was helped by Mrs. Dolfry as the Chairman of Yayasan Teater Keliling, and they have made more than 1.600 performances around Indonesia and 11 countries. They were also encouraging students from junior and senior high school to participate in each of the performances. Mr. Rudolf told us that theatre performance is a mirror of human life. That’s become a reason for so many schools and colleges to put it into the curriculum, “Theatre and education are something that cannot be separated”, he said.
This webinar was held on Thursday, 2 July, 2020, at 16.30 – 18.00, and attended by more than 50 people including arts enthusiasts, artists, students from other universities, LSPR students from various majors, LSPR student candidates, lecturers and management of the LSPR Communication and Business Institute.
Ms. Karina, as the moderator, provided an opportunity for participants to interact directly with Mr. Rudolf and Mrs. Dolfry. Therefore, the webinar was very interactive. Beside the two ways of communication, the participants also gained a lot of knowledge from this webinar especially in theatre production during this pandemic situation.
