Jakarta – Friday, January 14, 2022 ‒ LSPR Student League’s Department of Strategic Studies have successfully conducted the first webinar of Ngolah Pikiran Sosial Politik (NGOPI SOSPOL) virtually using Zoom Meetings as its platform, taking “Impact of Social Media on National Economic Rate as its topic. Inviting Karina Syahna, M. I. Kom. as the source person who encouraged the participants to be creative in doing their passion with confidence through social media not only for themselves, but also national economic progress and Puteri Anetta Komarudin, B. Com. as speaker who explained the digital economic potency of Indonesia that has reached 41.7% of ASEAN’s digital economic market through the use of social media such as YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, and so on as well as e-commerce transaction activities. On the other hand, Indonesia is also facing few challenges in digital economic activity such as the quality internet access that has not been evenly distributed, and the low level of technology adoption that needs to be taken care of by the government. Aside from all of that, participants are encouraged to be smart and productive using social media, being careful in information processing and, to be the agents who generate Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) performance by spreading good news about it in social media.
