Jakarta – A Focus Group Discussion activity was carried out by the Department of Partnership and Cooperation with four campuses with the theme “Building a Wonderful Collaboration to Make a Great Collaboration” on 23 June 2023 and was held face to face at the Rafael Jolongbayan Room. Through this activity, BEM LSPR invites BEM and SEMA of four universities to discuss collaborations that can be collaborated. The FGD began with an opening and remarks by the Head of the LSPR BEM, David Simeon. Then, to concentrate the talk, discussions on university introductions and work programs started from ESQ Business School, Sampoerna University, Paramadina University, and President University. Firstly, ESQ Business School presenting the work programs of BEM ESQ Business School namely Open staffing, monthly control for departments and bureaus, BEM of the month (a form of appreciation for departments and bureaus to improve good performance), Comparative Study, BEM Class, BEM internal coaching.
Then, it was followed by a presentation on the work program from Sampoerna University Work programs from Sampoerna University include, UKM Fair: introducing UKM from Sampoerna University, Charity event (SU Mengabdi meliputi pengabdian di panti asuhan dan rumah rehabilitasi, SU Sport Week Competition, SUO: Batch meeting, Summer club: event music & skills, Media Partner: Bicara Udara). The third order from Paramadina University explained about student unions, and he said that UKM and faculties were equal, and the Student Union was the center of activity with the big vision of renewal. Naufal said that Paramadina University has work programs every day such as seminars, UKM activities, and big events like the Paramadina Expo. Furthermore, President University presented the work program from President University include Mr&Ms President University (as campus ambassadors), Grant of Hopes (carries out and donates to several orphanages, Student Awarding Night to appreciate President University students/students who excel in academic and non-academic fields. Then, the Club and Communities were under the auspices of BEM. After the four campuses presented their work programs, the LSPR BEM presented several work programs that are currently being implemented or that have been implemented, as stated by David as the head of LSPR that it has 27 UKM with four different categories such as Arts, Sport, Communities, and SCM.
Of course, this Focus Group Discussion opens an interactive discussion space with questions from each campus to campuses that are explaining work programs and the possibility of collaborating and collaborating in the future. BEM LSPR also initiated plans for collaborative work programs with private university BEMs who were present at the Get Connected Focus Group Discussion. This work program plan is intended as a concrete form of LSPR BEM and private campus BEM to support the success of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 13, namely Climate Action and No. 15, namely Life on Land. The planned work program is fertilizing trees supported by PT. Mest Indonesia located around DKI Jakarta, so that the trees that are fertilized become more fertile and produce an inhibitory effect on climate change and improve the quality of life for other living things in accordance with SDGs no. 13 and 15.
