Jakarta – LSPR Communication and Business Institute signed an MoU in cooperation with the Association of Hospitality Leaders Indonesia (AHLI). The collaboration, which was signed on September 22, aims to develop the tourism and hospitality industry in Indonesia.

“We are truly grateful for this opportunity even amid this pandemic. This is a positive step, every educational institution and industry must collaborate to answer global needs. We are very grateful to welcome AHLI as part of LSPR’s partners to support learning and practitioners for both parties, especially in the tourism and hospitality industry,” said Director for International Relations and Partnership Office LSPR Ms. Candy Hernandez.

Dean Faculty of Business Ms. Yuliana Riana Prasetyawati, M.M. welcomes this event. According to her, this collaboration is expected to reduce the gap between the academic and practical worlds through various programs. “Through this collaboration, it is hoped that it will be able to reduce the gap in the academic and practical world through internship/internship programs, guest lecturers and mentoring,” she said.

The signing of memorandum of understanding was also welcomed by the Chairman of the Advisory Board/Chairman of the Founding Board of AHLI, Ferdy Arminius, MBA, CHGM, CHA. According to him, the main vision of AHLI is to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian tourism and build quality and sustainable tourism development. “I together with Mr. Ketut Swabawa, CHA as the General Chair of the DPP AHLI 2021-2021, and the Founding Board of AHLI finally realized the establishment of AHLI on August 31, 2021 ago with great hopes that they can contribute to the development of Indonesian tourism, especially in the new normal era. this. And one of the main missions of AHLI to realize its vision is to create synergies and collaborative relationships between sectors in the tourism industry, including the world of education and academics so that they can provide benefits, benefits and strengthen each other,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Inter-Industrial Cooperation, EXPERT, Mr. Ren Tobing, MBA conveyed that this memorandum of agreement will certainly have a significant impact on both parties in particular and for the Indonesian tourism industry in general.

According to him, AHLI, which is a forum for hospitality industry leaders, will be a very strategic partner for LSPR students to prepare insights in the world of work and practice their communication, business & marketing knowledge in the Indonesian tourism industry.

On the other hand, LSPR will provide support for EXPERT in meeting various needs ranging from internship programs, recruitment with quality human resources, collaboration in various events both locally, nationally and internationally.

The signing event ended with a discussion between AHLI and LSPR for collaborative projects such as internship programs, training, workshops, guest lecturers, as well as job development and internship programs for LSPR students at more than 400 hotels or companies in the tourism industry in Indonesia.
