Jakarta – LSPR International Relations and Partnerships Office held their 9th Webinar Series with International University Partners with Higher School of Education on 18 June 2020. The webinar featured Dr. Alexey Maslov, Director of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of Russian Academy of Science, and H.E. Yuli Mumpuni, Former Ambassador of Indonesia to Spain & Lecturer at LSPR Communication & Business Institute who discussed the topic “Re-Globalization After COVID-19 and Regional Impact”.
The session was moderated by Mr. Mikhael Yulius Cobis, Program Director in the Undergraduate Communication Faculty at LSPR Communication & Business Institute. The LSPR Webinar Series with International University Partners aims to provide a range of high quality topics from experienced communication professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic which allows for international learning during the “Stay at Home” period.
The session began with a presentation from Dr. Alexey Maslov who introduced the globalized world before the COVID-19 Pandemic and continued to discuss how the pandemic has affected the world as a whole. He also went into depth on the particular industries that were hit by the COVID-19 virus and how they were to cope with the new challenges they faced. The presentation was continued by H.E. Yuli Mumpuni who introduced COVID-19 effects on the Indonesian industries and how this ties with other parts of the world.
The session came to an end by discussing whether or not the world will continue in a globalization effort after the COVID-19 pandemic and if it is necessary at all. After the presentation, participants were offered the chance to ask questions relevant to the topic discussed. A total of 67 participants joined the webinar.
