Jakarta – On April 22, 2021, the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) launched its collaboration with Educational Fund Management Institution (LPDP), an institution that works within the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), to carry out a program expansion. The collaboration was launched through Merdeka Belajar. Explained by the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadim Anwar Makariem, the program expansion aims to create qualified human resources that are able to face global transformations in technology, socioculture, and environment, while behaving according to values of Pancasila.

This program was attended by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani, stating that human resources are valuable assets, and the nation’s prosperity depend on the quality of human resources. It is an important responsibility held by Kemendikbud. Sri also stated that the educational fund keeps responding to the changes and ideas given by Kemendikbud.

According to Nadiem, the collaboration between Kemendikbud and LPDP is executed by expanding the coverage of Endowment Educational Funds, which has been providing for scholarship programs, and the programs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag). The expansion planned for 2021, covers scholarship, internship, student exchangem and research programs for both students and educators.
