Jakarta – A total of 34 Putri Pariwisata Indonesia 2020 finalists began to undergo virtual quarantine organized by EL JOHN Pageants. The inaugural quarantine broadcast by EL JOHN TV was opened by the Founder of the EL JOHN Indonesia Foundation Martinus Johnnie Sugiarto on September 15, 2020. After opening, each finalist introduced himself to the Founder of the EL JOHN Indonesia Foundation and EL JOHN’s friends. In his opening, Martinus Johnnie Sugiato also gave the first debriefing to the finalists. The debriefing material that was delivered was about the Indonesian Women’s Tourism Contest and also about the requirements that the finalists had to meet when they were selected as winners. In this virtual quarantine, LSPR is trusted to provide Public Speaking training to the participants.

The Participants

This material was delivered by Mr.Mamby Aruan as a lecturer and Public Relations Practitioner. In the material, Mr.Mamby gives tips so that as a Tourism Princess, she can have good speaking skills so that the message she wants to convey about the tourism industry can be accepted both by the national and foreign public. The material provided includes a formula in speaking, namely: opening as many as ⅛ parts, then body or the contents of the message ¾ and the closing as much as ⅛ which in essence we will inform what message on that occasion. He continued, he also emphasized that before we start talking, we have to know the 5W1H first, namely: we have to know WHO is your audience is, WHAT are you going to talk about, WHERE are you delivering the presentation, WHEN is the presentation, WHY are you giving the presentation and HOW will you present. Then we also have to know the purpose of the Public Speaking that we will do whether to provide information to other people, to persuade or even to entertain. The vocal technique was also given by Mr.Mamby and closed with the practice of several participants.
