[UPDATE] WEBINAR POTATO VOL.6 “COPAS: Creativepreneur on PAC Sides”

Jakarta – The Performing Arts Communication (PAC) Department held the 6th POTATO (Performing Arts To You and Yours) webinar series with the theme “COPAS: Creativepreneurship On PAC Sides”. Creativepreneurship is a combination of 2 words and isa term derived from entrepreneurship. Creativepreneurship is defined as creativity in entrepreneurship that conducts studies and practical simulations with interrelations. Now creativepreneurship has become a passion for entrepreneurship science.

In this POTATO Webinar series, Mr. Mikhael Yulius Cobis, M.Si, M.M., Director of Undergraduate Programme in Faculty of Communication, was the moderator and Dr. J.A Wempi, Dean Faculty of Communication Studies was our guest speaker who is also an entrepreneur. This webinar was held on Thursday, 25 June, 2020, from 16.00 to 17.30, and attended by more than 100 participants consisting of LSPR students from various majors, LSPR student candidates, lecturers and management of the LSPR Communication and Business Institute.

POTATO Webinar Vol. 6 was very appealing and interactive. In between his busy schedule as Dean and Lecturer, Mr. Wempi is also a breeder of Maine Coon cats. He recounted his experience in managing a Cattery Business named Mikucoon from the very beginning until now selling various kinds of cats that valued at more than a million rupiah. He also has been pursuing an automotive business in antique motorcycles. Other than that, he also gave tips to become a successful creative entrepreneur. “As a creativepreneur, we must sell “the most” product or products that steal the market’s attention”, he said.

Working as a creativepreneur is a big opportunity for Performing Arts Communication students because they have provisions as performers who are expected to create interesting products’ packages to add the value of the products. The next POTATO volume will again raise the theme of Music Industry 101, but from a different perspective.
