Workshop Trailblazer 2: “Market Validation and Business Model”

Trailblazer is a program from LSPR that work with KIBAR to help LSPR student to make a start-up business from the start. The workshop was on Saturday, 27th October 2016, at 10 AM, in LSPR Campus C, Room 12. The first workshop was already held on Saturday, 22 October 2016. The spoke person of the second workshop are Jaka Wiradisuria, Head of New Product from ruma.co.id, and Prasetyo Andy Wicaksono, Head of IT Development from Jakarta Smart City. This program or workshop shows step by step on how to create and sustained a start up business, and the first batch of trailblazer objective is the participants will be successful on start-up business and become an inspiration for the next generation of Trailblazers.

The workshop started by Jaka Wiradisuria on Market Validation. He told and showed the process of market validation using a javelin board, this board consist of target customer, the problems, the solution of the problems, and the assumption, to help us to identifying and answering the needs and want from the customer so we can ease the possibility of making wrong step further and satisfying what customer need. The participants were very active in the discussion and showed the interest of the workshop session.

The second session talked and discussed about Business Model by Prasetyo Andy Wicaksono. In marketing, business model is important to help us answer some problems on customer needs. It is similar with the javelin board, but business model have more complex problems such as the channel to distribute to the client or user, income and expense on making the application, the unfair advantage to write down what makes our product or service can not be copied by other competitors.

The workshop was closed at around 5 PM, with a photo session with the spoke person, Prasetyo Andy Wicaksono and the team from KIBAR. The next agenda for the first batch of trailblazer is ‘Hackathon’ that will be held on 19th to 20th November 2016.(Vinnie)
