On Friday, January 16, 2015 London School Centre for Autism Awareness (LSCAA) held an event with a theme entitled “Duniamu Duniaku Dunia Kita Bersama” at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium Campus B LSPR Jakarta. The event started at 09.00AM It aimed to introduce and increase public awareness about special needs children. This event was attended by high school students in the area of Jakarta, who participated on the writing competition with a variety of themes regarding children with special needs. Students from the London School Beyond Academy (LSBA) had come to enliven the event.

The event started with a speech from the Head of IQA, LSCAA and LSBA, Mrs. Chrisdina Wempi. In her speech she delivered through the show and hopefully writing competition can increase public awareness of children with special needs, as well as get to know again who they are and how we can help them. The event was followed by a performance of  LSBA theme song, Meraih Bintang, sang by Gretty, LSBA student along with Mr. Radel. After that there was a screening of the film “Saudaraku Berbeda”, produced by LSPR TV followed by the performance of vocal and keyboard by Dennis and Ivan, drum performance by Vicky and Zhafran and Fauzan played the Violin. All of them are children with special needs.

 

Writing contest winner announcement from high school level in Jakarta was the highlight of the show “Duniamu Duniaku Dunia Kita Bersama”. Here are the list of winners of the writing competition after the judging phase:

·         1st Winner        : Anggit Refo Kurniawan and Adib Ihsan Pangabean of SMA 80 Jakarta

·         2nd Winner        : Gentur Ngudiharjo, Muhammad Faisal Ammar, Nadira Chaya Purnama of SMA 80 Jakarta

·         3rd Winner        : Nada Salsabila dan Latitia Dhayita of SMA Labschool

·         1st Runner Up : Achmad Fazri and Esti Marzeta of SMA 83 Jakarta

·         2nd Runner Up   : Adiva Reyhan and Natasha Felia Princess Zahra from high school Labschool

After the distribution of prizes and photo session, the event was followed by campus tour for all guests and closed with a lunch together at the cafeteria campus B LSPR. (RISVI MAULANA)
